The short of it

Hi readers :) Lex here with a little DMD announcement. In the beginning of 2025, we are launching an independent Record label for which we’re now open for demos. Initially we’re looking to sign singles only, rather than EPs so feel free to send us one track if you have one which is ready to go (blow) 🚀 Genre wise, groovy underground, deep house, experimental electronic, minimal and afro/tribal fusion will most likely fit right. Check out the music we’ve been supporting via our playlist for a sense. Keep in mind we are based in London so any related events next year, will most likely be in Europe.

While we can’t promise fame and glory, we will seek to tell your story. *and do everything in our power to make sure your music gets heard by people who might love it as much as we do*

DMD stands for Dance Music Digest, through which we are building a new HQ of current news and stories on dance music, and the people shaping it. Centred on a bi-weekly newsletter, DMD encapsulates radio, events, and content. We’re building with four key principles in mind:

Be the go to destination for insight on all that surrounds dance music. Remove boundaries and resist exclusivity around access
Declare our love of music without shame and tempering. Celebrate the fun of the dance floor and inject spaces with passionate enthusiasm
Draw on a rich legacy to put Dance Music back at the point of design origination, inspiring the broader creative industries
Contribute positively, leading by example to grow the music industry in the right direction, particularly as relates to representation of gender and race
